Monica and Dawson’s wedding day in Calgary was such a special one — intimate, meaningful, and full of the kind of warmth that makes a winter wedding feel magical.
From the very start, the day had a quiet, joyful energy to it. A small, close-knit group of family and friends who were so genuinely happy to be there, celebrating two people they love. There’s something really beautiful about an intimate wedding — every moment feels intentional, and every person in the room truly matters.
Their Catholic ceremony at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Calgary was absolutely stunning. Getting to photograph a Christmas wedding inside that church — the decorations, the candlelight, the soaring ceilings — it was honestly breathtaking. The ceremony itself was peaceful and sacred, and watching Monica and Dawson exchange vows with so much love and faith surrounding them was one of those moments I won’t forget.
After the ceremony, snowy Calgary provided the most beautiful backdrop for portraits. There’s something about a bright winter day in this city that just makes everything feel a little extra magical — crisp air, soft light, and two people who were absolutely glowing.
The rest of the day carried that same warmth all the way through — happy tears, heartfelt moments, and so much laughter. Monica and Dawson are just lovely, and their people reflected that completely.
